We allow late enrollment until
the second day of instruction has begun. We would love the opportunity

What does “computer keyboarding” mean – as
opposed to “typing”? |
|
 |
Typing is done on a typewriter with
the emphasis on the typed copy or output. Computer keyboarding is
done on a computer with emphasis on input. It will integrate some
of the basic commands that computers/laptops use as well as the proper
placement of fingers on the keyboard. The up/down arrows, OPENING
a document, CLOSING a document, SAVING a document and TITLING it
correctly so that it can be retrieved easily. Students learn standard
keys in both typewriting and keyboarding. |

 |
Will my child be able to type fast after completing the class? |
|
 |
Chances are no, your child will not be able to type fast after the
class; however, he/she will be able to type using the proper finger
placement. In the beginning, he/she may actually type slower than
they are accustomed to – even if they can type quickly using
the improper finger placements. They are, in essence, relearning
how to use the keyboard. With time and practice your child be able
to type with speed and accuracy. |

 |
What “qualifies” your instructors
to teach my child computer keyboarding? |
|
 |
Our instructors use the proper finger
placement and have for many years. A majority of our teachers
type at high speeds (Ms. Elizabeth types over 100 wpm / Ms. Lara
types over 80 wpm / etc.) and have been using computers for MANY
years. |

|
 |
When a child
